we will reach one of the slopes
of an ancient volcanic depression riding on off-road trails
or walking with snowshoes along snowy paths all the way to
the huge Valle del Bove where you will be shocked by breathtaking
landscapes that represent all the beauty and strength of Etna.

Lava cave |

A fascinating descent "inside"
the volcano. We will visit the bowels of Etna to understand
its evolution from the interior. |

Eccentric or lateral craters
and old lava flows covered with snow |

we will take
a wonderful and relaxing walk with snowshoes through old lava
flows and ancient forests to discover one of the peculiarities
of our volcano: we will see some of the 300 lateral and eccentric
ancient inactive craters and lunar landscapes surrounded by
pure nature. We will be able to admire Europe's highest volcano
covered with snow. |

A nice break to discuss about
the first part of our itinerary where we will taste wines
of distinct character and local delicious delicacies. We will
visit cellars that are characterized by vineyards established
on the hillsides of Etna where you will feel the strong connection
between our people and the volcano. |

Zafferana Etnea and organic
honey from Etna |

We will discover Zafferana
Etnea that is located on the slopes of Mount Etna and we will
visit the place where the lava stopped not far from the town
in 1992. Then we will continue with the last step of our trip:
tasting of the famous honey from Zafferana and delicious honey
products. |

will only be possible in case of snow and appropriate weather
conditions. |

Tips for the excursion:

Winter:
In winter the climate is often harsh, please wear clothes
and shoes appropriate for cold, rain or snow. This is Etna
can provide for free suitable coats and boots for winter upon
request at the time of booking. This Is Etna will also provide
snowshoes if they are required.
Pick Up:
- we pick you up for free at your accommodation in Catania
at about 9:00 a.m;
- if you are staying out of Catania we will organize a meeting
point according to your needs.
At the time of booking, please advise us of any special dietary
requirements.
